Maintenance Programs Overview

Plans (or "programs") are designed for you to take advantage of lower hoursly rates when you know that you will require a minimum level of service.

All plans are charged monthly in advance for the minimum number of hours of the respective plan. An invoice will be issued on the first of each month that will encompass all plans and programs for the coming month and all additional works completed in the previous month. Invoices are payable within 7 days.

Allocation of specific personnel to attend to the needs of a client is at the discretion of ParadigmIT.

A "month" means a calendar month in all references.

All hours utilized are documented and forwarded to the client on a monthly basis. ParadigmIT is happy to assist in verifying and clarifying any items in this documentation.

Network and Software Plans

Network and Software plans are expressed on a "minimum hours per month" basis and available to the client to be used in any of the tasks listed in the specific program.

Network and Software plans are generally available in "hours" of 2, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30 hours. If an excess of 30 hours per is required, we strongly recommend contacting our consultants to assess your requirements and find the best solution.

Network and Software plans are limited to works being conducted during normal business hours unless used in conjunction with an Emergency Response plan.

Un-used hours in Network and Software plans may be converted to Training on demand and at no cost. The most common use of this feature is when plan time remains at the end of a calendar month and it is utilized or booked for staff training.

Un-used hours in Network and Software plans may be credited against the following calendar month's hours in a ratio of two (2) to one (1). For example, if a client is subscribed for 10 hours per month to a Network Support plan ($900) but uses only 5 hours, 4 of the remaining 5hours may be credited for two hours in the next month, resulting in an invoice totaling only 8 hours ($720) but retaining the use of the full 10 hours under the Network Support plan.

If more hours service are provided for services within the plan's specification in a single calendar month, any additional hours service provided will be charged in arrears at the same rate as those hours charged in the plan for the month in which the works was carried out.


Training Plan

Training staff and executives in correct, efficient use of computers and IT technology should be a high priority for any business or enterprise. Without trained and skilled workers, it is unlikely you will reap a return on the investment that is your IT infrastructure.

The whole rationale behind computerization is that it either helps you to be more productive or to reduce production costs or both. Without knowing how to use computers effectively, the rationale fails andit would be better to avoid computerization all together.

For owners/managers that worry about "What if I train my staff and they leave?" I urge you to consider this another way: What if you don't train your staff and they stay?

While training requirements are often irregular, the significant benefit of our plans is that already pre-paid hours in the Network or Software plans can be easily and readily transferred to staff training at no cost.

Emergency Response Plan

ParadigmIT recognize the possibility of emergencies that require an iimediate response to firstly try to fix or solve a problem and failing an immediate solution at least fully document the problem and instigate the steps required to reach a solution.

Asking a service company to "drop everything" for you is not rarely appreciated and often refused. We strongly recommend planning for these eventualities by engaging in an Emergency Response Program to suit where you are guaranteed a detailed report or a solutions within a short period of time.

Software Mainteance Program

Includes all aspects of "Network Maintenance Program", plus "cosmetic" changes to systems including:
  • Addition/modification of reports
  • Modification of colour schemes
  • Modification of logos images
  • Modification of images and image fragments
  • Responsibility for routine maintenance tasks

Outside the tasks listed above, what constitutes a "cosmetic" change is at the discretion of ParadigmIT.

Training Program

ParadigmIT can provide a high level of general PC, network and common software training for both staff and executives. Since training can often be a once-off requirement or irregular, we recommend contacting our consultants to assess what implementation best suits your requirements.

This program includes training in the use and configuration of custom software provided by ParadigmIT.

This program does not include training in network server administration, configuration or maintenance.

Emergency Response Program

The concept of emergency response is simple; ParadigmIT will guarantee that a problem or issue raised will be responded to within a certain time from notification of the problem or issue. Additionally, within a certain time following the response will be available a written report of the issue at hand and a proposed solution.

Emergency situations often may be one or more of the following:
  • Critical hardware failure
  • Lost, damaged or stolen hardware
  • Communications failure
  • Operating System instability
  • Critical workstation failure
  • Security breach
  • Specific service failure
Of course, ParadigmIT can be available for any request that the client considers an emergency for which we may provide or contribute to a solution beyond the scope defined in this list.

Where possible, ParadigmIT will endeavor to solve or fix the problem in the process of problem determination. If this is not possible, there will be sufficient documentation provided in order to make an informed decision on possible actions - which may or may not further involve ParadigmIT at the discretion of the client.

The first two (2) hours of Emergency Response time used in any one calendar month is inclusive of the monthly plan cost.

The remaining hours used in response to emergencies will be charged in arrears at normal rates or applied as debits to any existing Network or Software plans at the direction of the client.
